“Mom, will you still think I’m adorable now that I’m 6?”, Liam asked me yesterday on his birthday. 🙂 Liam LOVES being a kid and is terrified of becoming an adult, so I think he just wanted to make sure 6 is still “little enough”, haha!
Anyway, he had a great birthday weekend! Partied with the extended family Friday night and had an amazingly relaxing and fun day yesterday in the sunshine. Here’s a few pictures from the party first…
…and a few pictures from his actual birthday. He was so happy with all his presents that he decided he wanted to stay home and play with them rather than go to Chuck E Cheese (which was his original plan). Since it was Mother’s Day anyway, I was pretty happy to get to relax at home, too! We flew his new Ninja Turtle kite and played outside for quite awhile and also enjoyed some time putting together new Legos, battling with new Ninja Turtle figures, and playing catch with his new throwing toys.
This was the first year that Liam’s birthday has fallen on actual Mother’s Day again, just like on the day he was born! It was fun to share the day with him. He told David, “Mom & I are going to both be SO lazy today and not do ANY work!” 🙂 He lounged in his new Ninja Turtle outfit and sunglasses (seen in the pics) and just had a great time. Last night as I was tucking him into bed, he got teary-eyed and said, “I just am so sad that tomorrow’s not my birthday anymore… I had such a good birthday!” Oh, this boy… So tender and so loving. God has big plans for him! We are so blessed to have him in our family!
