Catching up on Nolan turning 1!

Ack, I haven’t posted since Lauren’s birthday post and now Nolan’s party was already over a month ago! I’ll talk a little bit about our baby’s bday on this post and then hopefully sometime soon get updated about our Snowmageddon 2013 and Christmas 2013 festivities, too.

So, where was I? Ah yes. This little precious guy turned ONE YEAR OLD! Nolan is just the right kid for our family. He is independent, loves to read books (ALL the time), and loves to shake his booty to just about any music that he hears. He has been walking for months now so he has really become very agile and now is running, dancing, and scaling up and down our stairs with ease. He and his big sis have started up some normal sibling feuding here and there which is funny to see so early on. She is irritated by him ruining her toy things and he doesn’t back down πŸ˜‰

Nolan as a newborn was pretty easy. Nolan from about 4 months to 12 months was a little tougher because he was a bit of a cranky fella whenever he was teething (which was pretty often). Now, I am so happy to say that he is a delight as he has transitioned into a sweet toddler! He loves to explore the house, get into anything and everything, play with his brother and sister, and cheer excitedly whenever the Oregon Ducks are on the TV. He still doesn’t sleep great but I am used to this and I know that eventually HE WILL. Plus, I love getting to snuggle with him in the middle of the night sometimes because he doesn’t often let me snuggle him during his busy-bee daytime hours.

Above are some pics from his little party. One of the things I love about Nolan is how he can be so goofy one minute and then DEAD SERIOUS so much of the time otherwise. Do you see his serious expression while riding in that red car? Haha! In reality he was incredibly excited about it but you would never know from his deadpan expression. πŸ™‚ This little boy of mine is going to be fun to watch as his personality develops even more.

We are so thankful for our precious “Noly-Bug”!
