Port is in

So mom’s procedure to have the port put in today went fine. Her neck is really sore from where they were inserting the tube into her jugular (spelling?) vein, poor thing. 😦 Dad is getting her plenty of ice packs to put on her neck and on the port area, though.

Chemo starts tomorrow morning. She will be doing chemo every two weeks for about 2 months and then they will see how it is working (not sure if that is by a CEA blood test or a CT scan). The schedule will be one half-ish day of chemo at the clinic, followed by 46-ish hours of chemo that she will do at home via a pump into her port.

Keep praying for peace, for no infections, and for minimal side effects. And of course, we are thanking God each day for the complete healing of my mom.
